When trying to determine the equation of a parabola with a directrix that has a gradient other than 1, 0 or is the y - axis (as an extension to the work I did on "The Diagonal Parabola"), I discovered that for these gradients my equation produces the desired parabola, but for any other gradient it produces a hyperbola (in GeoGebra at least). I really don't know what's going on here...
